This presentation provides adult family home providers with a practical overview of the Residential Care Services (RCS) licensing inspection process. Attendees will learn what inspectors review, how to prepare their home and records through strong day-to-day systems, and the citations most commonly identified during inspections.

The session will also explain enforcement levels using real-world examples; how to read and respond to a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD); and providers’ appeal rights. Participants will gain an introduction to the Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process, including opportunities to volunteer as an IDR panel member. The presentation will conclude with time for questions and answers.
