Social Leave Listening Session With Adult Family Home Providers

Description:

Adult Family Home providers, Adult Family Home Council representatives, and advocates are invited to participate in a focused feedback session on the development of an Extended Social Leave policy.

As part of ongoing collaboration with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, these sessions are designed to gather input from providers and stakeholders on how social leave policies impact Adult Family Homes in real-world settings. Feedback collected will help inform policy decisions and ensure that future guidance reflects the operational realities, challenges, and needs of providers.

This session offers an opportunity to:

  • Share your experiences and perspectives on social leave in AFHs
  • Identify challenges, barriers, and unintended impacts
  • Provide input on what would support both providers and residents
  • Contribute to shaping policies that affect your work and community

Participant input will play a key role in informing policy development and improving alignment between state expectations and provider experience. These listening sessions are part of a broader effort to ensure policies are practical, effective, and responsive to the needs of Adult Family Home providers.

No CEUs will be offered.
