10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Returning to Basics & the Road Ahead presented by the AFH Council Education & Support Team
Karen, Brenna & Liz will walk attendees through various scenarios and lead in a discussion to help avoid common citations. We will provide an overview of current infection prevention requirements, updates to licensing visits and review ongoing requirements in AFHs as Covid winds down.

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: Legislative Summary presented by John Ficker, Executive Director of the AFH Council
John will provide a summary of the 2023 state legislative session and how it impacts adult family homes.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: How to Advocate for Fair Rates and Reasonable Regulations presented by Amina Abdalla, Advocacy Coordinator and John Ficker, Executive Director of the AFH Council
Amina and John will provide an overview of the collective bargaining process and how the AFH Council advocates on your behalf with local, state and federal agencies.
