Event Information
Description:
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Residential Care Services is canceling the Critical Incidents Medication Error rulemaking meeting that was scheduled for March 9, 2026. They will notify the public when updated scheduling information is available.
Residential Care Services (RCS) has added a second Interested Parties webinar as part of its Critical Incidents Medication Errors rulemaking process. Scheduled for March 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., this session is limited to 50 participants and is intended to gather stakeholder input on proposed rule amendments affecting Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Enhanced Services Facilities, and Certified Community Residential Services and Supports (WSR 26-04-001). The rulemaking is necessary to ensure DSHS compliance with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services access rule and specifically addresses reporting requirements for medication errors that meet the definition of a “critical incident” under 42 C.F.R. 441.302(a)(6)(i)(A)(5). RCS is seeking external participants interested in providing feedback, and reasonable accommodations are available upon request with advance notice.
