New rules for Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Enhanced Services Facilities and Nursing Homes go into effect September 6, 2025. The rule change implements Substitute House Bill 1218 (2021) and addresses communications within the facility, with residents, their families, and the community, specifically ombuds and emergency assistance entities. Residential Care Services is offering drop-in sessions for each setting type, where we will answer your questions about the rules. There is no need to register. These sessions are geared toward providers and administrators in these settings, but anyone with a question about the rules is welcome.
