- Gain awareness of hospice utilization trends
- Review hospice eligibility requirements
- Recognize signs and symptoms of imminent death
- Pharmacology and Non-pharmacology modalities to treat common symptoms at the end of life
Seminar Description:
This education session will help increase awareness of utilization trends of hospice services & hospice eligibility requirements. The attendees will have a better understanding of signs and symptoms of impending death as well as common end-of-life symptoms for their Adult Family Home residents. Attendees will learn about pharmacology and non-pharmacology interventions at the end of life, including the EvergreenHealth Hospice “Comfort Kit” and its indications. Participants will explore best practices for the management of end-of-life symptoms. There will also be an opportunity for participants to share their own experiences and discuss lessons learned.
