Different facilities may be at different levels of readiness to participate in a disaster exercise therefore the exercise includes different levels of involvement. The Shiver Me Timbers! Exercise levels range from:
- simple discussions with staff about earthquake preparedness and response
- demonstrating earthquake response
- leadership decision making
- discussion about evacuation needs
