Description
Coyote House (www.tierravillage.org/coyote-house) is one of the nation's premier residential programs for those who experience developmental disabilities.
With an Organic Garden on-site, your loved one can enjoy fresh, local, organic produce through the growing season.
We have a spectacular activities program and impeccable track record of safety. Your loved one can pile into our 2017 Chevy 15-Passenger Van (a.k.a. the "Coyote Cruiser") with all of their new pals (a.k.a. "The Coyotes") for all transportation needs.
We will help keep your loved one in shape with year-round access to two gyms, one of which has an indoor pool. We go to the Leavenworth City Pool for water aerobics in the summer. Residents participate in a week-long theater camp every June. In the fall residents participate in a therapeutic horseback riding program at Alatheia Riding Center. Campouts are not uncommon.
We do Special Olympics as well as a local sports program called Upper Valley Connections that includes XC Skiing, Soccer, and Baseball.
In addition to our Adult Family Home, we have our TRAILS (Tierra Recreation Arts and Independent Living Skills) Day Program giving residents social, artistic, recreational, and educational outlets up to 4 days a week.
Beyond that, we have Employment Services and Supports on site. Our residents are all engaged in meaningful work outside the home and we hold them to their highest potential!
Coyote House is a community centered, one-of-a-kind facility and organization located 5 miles outside of beautiful Leavenworth, WA on 360 acres of pristine forest and farmland.
Please contact us today to give your loved one a place to move, breath, and live like nowhere else!
