"Mālama ʻohana" in Hawaiian means "taking care of our family," but in the Hawaiian context, "family" extends beyond immediate relatives to encompass community, friends, and even the land and environment. This is the guiding principle of our adult family home and what we strive to do everyday with every resident.
At Malama Ohana Adult Family Home we are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for adults who need assistance with daily living activities but do not want to be in a nursing home. Our smaller, more intimate setting, with only 5 residents, offers a more personal and homelike atmosphere.
Services provided in our adult family home may include assistance with personal care (such as bathing, dressing, and grooming), medication management, meals, and social activities. Care is tailored to the individual needs of the residents, and staff members offer a higher level of personalized attention compared to larger facilities.
Malama Ohana is an excellent option for seniors or adults who prefer a family-style environment with a focus on comfort, community, and individualized care. We strive to provide a sense of autonomy and privacy, while still ensuring that professional care and support are available when needed.
