About Us
Together, we have over ten years of experience caring for older adults in hospitals, care facilities, and private homes. Kaitlyn is a Registered Nurse (RN, PhD), and Ken is a Physical Therapist (PT, DPT). Over the years, we saw firsthand too many seniors fall through the cracks when they needed the most attentive, hands-on care. That’s what led us to open Ideal Senior Care of Edmonds. We live on-site and are part of everyday life in the home, ensuring our residents feel safe, cared for, and loved each day. We also work alongside our small, carefully selected team of exceptional caregivers to support them and keep care consistent, helping residents feel comfortable and at ease with familiar faces.

Who We Care For
We support adults with a wide range of needs — from simple to complex. Whether your loved one needs help with medications or full assistance with daily cares, like eating, bathing, dressing, and toileting, we tailor our care to each individual. We specialize in all stages of dementia, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, hospice care, and other medical conditions. Care plans are thoughtfully developed together with families and providers and evolve over time, so your loved one doesn’t need to move again as needs change.

Our Home
Our beautiful garden in the front yard is often the first thing to welcome residents and guests. Upon entering, the home has an open layout where residents frequently gather in the living room and kitchen throughout the day. Each resident has a private, spacious bedroom that they personalize with their own cherished photos and mementos, helping it truly feel like home. Safety and fall prevention are a top priority, with features such as hospital beds and power lift recliners, call bells, and door chimes throughout the house. Outside, our backyard patio is a favorite spot for fresh air, gardening, and shared meals or short walks when the weather is nice. Our dog, Pierre, is often nearby, and residents enjoy watching him play or joining in. We’re also part of a close-knit neighborhood, where neighbors often stop by with cookies or small treats to include our residents.
