Dear Providers,
The AFH Council has noticed significant increases to the liability insurance premiums of adult family home providers. We understand that without affordable liability insurance, you can’t operate your adult family home, you’re forced to shut down, and your residents are displaced. The AFH Council is pursuing legislation to help address this issue. As a result, we are conducting a survey to better understand the factors contributing to these increases. The survey will help us identify the reasons behind the rising insurance costs, assess the impact of the allegations included in the inspection and investigation reports on insurance premiums, and understand your perspectives on the challenges related to liability insurance.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey to the best of your ability and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re experiencing any problems. As a reminder, all answers are confidential. Your answers will not appear in any reports or affect the operation of your Adult Family Home.

My insurance went from $4000 a year to $14000 a year which I can’t afford. Just because I have a citation for not updating my care plan.
I am still shopping about tow month took to find for the liability insurance due to out of budget and declining!
