ALTSA Update on Medicaid Referral System
Dear Provider Letter:
This letter is to let you know about updates for the Residential Search Tool Locator. The Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA), Home and Community Services (HCS) Division, has awarded Room and Care https://roomandcare.com the contract for the Residential Search Tool Locator. ALTSA is working with Room and Care to implement the new Residential Search Tool in February.
• The goal of this residential search tool locator is to assist in matching Medicaid clients and their preferences with potential Adult Family Home (AFH) and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) providers.
• This service will be free of charge for all Medicaid contracted AFH and ALF providers.
• ALTSA contract with AIDA Healthcare ended on 12/31/2024. Home and Community Services case managers will no longer be able to share client information through AIDA Healthcare and will soon be using Room and Care.
ALTSA is collaborating with Room and Care to finalize training materials for Medicaid contracted AFH and ALF providers. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
If you have any questions about the Residential Search Tool Locator, please contact the ALTSA HCS Resources Support and Development at: resourcedevelopment@dshs.wa.gov
Sincerely,
Amy Abbott, Director
