BCCU Update: New Email Features

From Background Check Central Unit (BCCU):

We want to inform you about an exciting update to our email process. BCCU now has the ability to resend applicant packets via email in the Background Check System. Prior to this update, if applicants did not retrieve the email with their results they had to request a copy to be mailed or fill out the applicant request form. This change is intended to speed up response times, and ensure applicants receive their background check information faster.

Reminders about Emailed Results:

  • This only applies to applicants who select the email box on the Background Check Authorization Form
  • We can only resend to the email address the applicant provided on the Background Check Authorization Form    
  • This does not apply to Interim FP Finished or No Record results, as BCCU does not send those to the applicants
  • BCCU can resend for 90 days after the result was distributed; after that the applicant will need to fill out the Applicant Request for Background Check Information form
  • A NEW Troubleshooting Tip Sheet is available on our website to help applicants with any issues they might encounter accessing their records by secure email
