Help Us Stop Budget Cuts!

Thank you to everyone who signed our petition against the Governor’s proposed budget cuts. Over 840 caregivers, AFH residents and their families, affiliate business partners, and providers participated!

Our “Stop the Cuts” letter was submitted on your behalf to the Ways and Means Committee, the Appropriations Committee, and the Governor’s Office, along with your personal stories. We will keep advocating for the vital work you do, and there’s still more ways for you to amplify our message! We have two requests for you this week:

Step 1: Email Your Legislator!

  1. Find your district using the district finder.
  2. Use our spreadsheet list to locate the contact information for each legislator AND legislative assistant in your district.
  3. Email your legislator (and cc their legislative assistant) with our “Stop Cuts to Adult Family Homes” letter attached. In the email message, add your story on why the Governor’s proposed cuts can’t be adopted.

Step 2: Join Your District's Town Hall!

Town Halls are a great way to connect with your legislator and discuss issues in person. Your personal story could make all the difference in how your legislator votes! Find your district’s town hall at the link below.
