Membership Billing Update

We have identified a billing issue affecting some of our members following the launch of a new payment system on May 1, 2026. During the transition, there was an overlap between the new and previous systems that, in some cases, resulted in both systems attempting to process membership dues at the same time.

In many instances, the duplicate transactions from the old system were successfully voided. These voided charges may still appear as “pending” on your credit card, debit card, or bank account activity, but they should automatically drop off and not fully process.

However, if you review your bank or card statement and see that TWO AFHC membership payments have actually posted (not just pending), please contact us so we can promptly refund the second payment. Members should only be charged once for their monthly dues, and any true duplicate charge will be corrected.

This transition to a new payment platform is intended to streamline and improve the membership billing process going forward. As with many first time implementations, we have experienced some complications and truly appreciate your patience while we work through them.

What You Should Do Now:

  • Review your bank or card statement for your May AFHC membership payment.

  • If you see a second charge that has posted (not just pending), contact us so we can resolve it.

  • If the extra charge is only showing as pending, it should fall off automatically and does not require action.

For any concerns about duplicate membership payments that have posted, please reach out to:

  • accounts@adultfamilyhomecouncil.org

  • kris@adultfamilyhomecouncil.org

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused and remain committed to making your membership experience as smooth as possible.
