#1 Citation From RCS Inspections

Are you aware of the top 10 citations from RCS inspections this winter quarter of 2025? The number one citation currently is the annual licensing fee; not only will this be a citation, but also a STOP placement (until paid) and possibly a hefty fine. Your licensing fee is due EVERY YEAR the month you were licensed by the 15th day. Example: If you are licensed June 27th, 2023, your licensing fee will be due this year by June 15th, 2025.

Annual Licensing Fee

The annual licensing fee is $225/bed

$450 for – two beds

$675 for – three beds

$900 for – four beds

$1125 for – five beds

$1350 for – six beds

$1575 for – seven beds

$1800 for – eight beds

Write the words “Annual Fee” and your AFH license number on your check to ensure proper posting to your account.

License annual fee.

(1) The adult family home must pay the license fee that is established in the state’s operating budget, as described in RCW 70.128.060.
(2) Each year, the home’s annual license fee is due during the same month in which the home was initially licensed. For example, if the home was licensed in June, 2010, then the annual licensing fee will be due in June of each year.
(3) The home must ensure that the department receives the annual license fee when it is due.
(4) If the home does not pay the fee when it is due, the department will impose remedies.
