Register: AFHC 2026 Legislative Priorities Overview 

Begin the AFHC seven-part legislative series with an introduction to the legislative process and the AFH Council’s 2026 priorities.  State Lobbyist Amina Teouri will explain key terms, concepts, and stages of the legislative process, and outline the Council’s priorities for the upcoming session.  This session will help providers understand how to participate in the legislative process throughout 2026.

Register: Legislative Budget Overview

Gain a clear understanding of the legislative budget process and the budget items that affect Adult Family Homes.  State Lobbyist Amina Teouri will highlight key provisions in the 2026 Supplemental Budget and explain which AFHC budget requests were not included — and how providers can advocate for them.

This session offers a repeat of the January 23rd Lobby Day preparation content, designed to help providers get ready for in-person Lobby Day.  State Lobbyist Amina Teouri will review the key knowledge and skills needed to advocate effectively for Adult Family Homes during legislative meetings.

Wrap up the 2026 legislative session with a clear overview of what changed — and what comes next.  State Lobbyist Amina Teouri will review the legislative budget process, highlight budget items that affect providers, and discuss AFHC priorities that were not included and how providers can continue advocating moving forward.
