Room & Care is a marketplace that connects families with available Adult Family Homes directly - with no contracts, commissions or referral fees.

Room & Care is Medicaid’s official partner for Adult Family Homes referrals in WA.
Providers create free listings to advertise their Medicaid openings, and Medicaid Case Managers use our platform to match clients with available homes. This service is free for both clients and care providers.

For private pay residents, providers can advertise their private pay openings with a simple $199/month subscription, with no contracts or commissions. When the room is filled, the subscription is cancelled and the listing is removed. There is no cost to clients or families.

Room & Care is not a placement agency.
Placement agencies usually operate by phone, they don't provide photos, and they charge large commissions or “placement fees.” The standard commission is the client’s entire first month of care. Providers may raise their prices to cover these fees, which means families pay more when using an agency. Room & Care does not charge any referral or placement fees.

Room & Care is not a directory.
Directories list every facility in an area but are rarely updated with accurate openings or current photos. Room & Care shows only homes that have a real opening and are actively seeking a new resident for immediate move-in.
