SPECIAL EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTION NOMINATIONS
Nominations closed at 5pm on March 13.
The AFH Council is conducting a Special Election to fulfill a recently vacant At Large (Statewide) position on its Executive Board for the remainder of 2024. We are seeking nominations for this position from AFH Council members in good standing. Submitted nominees will be listed as candidates on the Special Election ballot, which will be open from March 18, 2024 to April 12, 2024.
Please note that the successful candidate from this Special Election will only hold the At Large position until December 31, 2024, but will have an opportunity to run again in the regular 2024 Executive Board Election.
The AFH Council Executive Board
Composed of 11 members across Washington’s seven regions, the board’s main purpose is to ensure that the Council:
- Achieves appropriate results for the membership at an appropriate cost (as specified in Board Ends Policies), and
- Avoids unacceptable actions and situations.
The Board commits itself and its members to ethical, professional, and lawful conduct, including proper use of authority and appropriate decorum when acting as Board members. Click here for more information on board member responsibilities and qualifications.
Key Dates
- Nominations will close and must be submitted by 5pm on March 13, 2024.
- Voting will open on March 18, 2024 and close at 5pm on April 12, 2024.
- New Executive Board members will be announced on the week of April 15, 2024.
Submitted nominations will be reviewed on a rolling basis until 5pm on March 13, 2024. A ballot will then be distributed to all AFH Council members on March 18, 2024. Each licensed member home will receive one vote.
All nominations must be made by and be made for an AFH Council member in good standing.
