Lobby Day is an annual event scheduled during the legislative session that brings providers and affiliate business partners together from across the state to discuss critical issues affecting AFHs. Attendees will have an opportunity to network and get updates on the Council’s advocacy efforts. There will also be designated time for providers to meet with lawmakers in their legislative districts to share their concerns. Breakfast, lunch, and fun provided!
Please fill out the form below to register for this free event. Adult family home providers who wish to support our advocacy efforts can do so by purchasing the supporter, champion, and advocate donations on the registration confirmation page.
Our legislative agenda for this 2024 legislative session seeks to address the allocation of Managed Care Organization funding, the formation of a liability insurance workgroup to address rates and restrictions, resident non-payments, and several other critical issues impacting AFHs across the state. We encourage all providers, regardless of whether they intend to participate in Lobby Day, to read the legislative agenda for more information on the Council’s current legislative priorities.
The Adult Family Home Council will be scheduling meetings for members who wish to meet with their legislator. These meetings will be scheduled in groups based on legislative district. You must select yes when asked if you would like to meet with your legislator at the bottom of the registration form to get a meeting scheduled. Information will be shared with you after your appointment is scheduled and confirmed.
By participating in Lobby Day as a sponsor, you’ll have the opportunity to put your company at the forefront of adult family homeowners and operators, and show your support of the Council’s efforts to advocate for fair rates/fees and improved working conditions for adult family home providers!
