What is Lobby Day?
Lobby Day is an annual event scheduled during the legislative session that brings providers and affiliate business partners together to discuss critical issues affecting AFHs. Attendees will have an opportunity to network, get updates on the Council’s advocacy efforts, and meet with their lawmakers to voice their concerns. Breakfast, lunch, and fun provided at this free event!
Attending this Lobby Day will allow you to:
- Understand community issues
- Share your experience
- Educate your lawmaker
- Advance the AFH Council’s mission: To improve the lives and well-being of vulnerable adults through the support of adult family homes
Legislative Priorities
Our 2025 legislative priorities include advocating for a fully funded Collective Bargaining Agreement to eliminate delays for home care aids and ensuring consideration for equitable rates. We encourage all providers, regardless of whether they intend to participate in Lobby Day, to read our legislative priorities for more information on current advocacy efforts. If you wish to further support our work, you can do so by purchasing the champion, advocate, or supporter donations on the registration confirmation page.
