2024 Executive Board Nominations are Open!

Every year, one-third of the AFH Council’s executive board is up for re-election. Composed of 11 members across Washington’s various regions, the board’s main purpose is to ensure that the Council:

  1. Achieves appropriate results for the membership at an appropriate cost (as specified in Board Ends Policies), and
  2. Avoids unacceptable actions and situations.

The Board commits itself and its members to ethical, professional, and lawful conduct, including proper use of authority and appropriate decorum when acting as Board members.

Four Executive Board positions are now due for re-election:

  • Region Two Delegate (Asotin, Benton, Columbia, Garfield, Franklin, Kittitas, Klickitat, Walla Walla and Yakima counties)
  • Region Five Delegate (Kitsap/Pierce counties)
  • At Large Delegate (Statewide)
  • At Large Delegate (Eastern WA)

Key Dates

  • Nominations will close and must be submitted by November 13, 2024. 
  • Voting will open on December 2, 2024 and close on December 31, 2024.
  • New Board members will be announced in January 2025.

Important information

Once nominations are closed, they will be reviewed. A ballot will later be distributed to all AFH Council members in good standing. Each licensed member home will receive one vote. 

All nominations must be made by and be made for an AFH Council member in good standing.

The participation of every adult family home is vital to ensuring fair regulations and rates that accurately reflect the costs of caring for our vulnerable adults.
