AFH Council Spotlight: Olympic Neighbors

This week for adult family home month we are spotlighting Olympic Neighbors. Olympic Neighbors’ mission is to create a home and community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They opened their first licensed Adult Family Home for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Jefferson County in 2018. Their vision is to create a safe place to live for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a place where they are supported, nurtured, and inspired to lead meaningful lives at home and in the community. Membership fees enable the Council to cover legal expenses and fund staff to advocate with the state and regulatory agencies. The participation of every adult family home is vital to ensuring fair regulations and rates that accurately reflect the costs of caring for our vulnerable adults. Consider becoming a member of the Council to help us continue improving conditions for all adult family homes in Washington State.
