BCCU Background Checks Update
Feb 5, 2025
From BCCU:
As of this morning, February 5th, we have completed the manual review of all background checks. By close of business tomorrow, February 6th, courtesy email notifications will be sent to all Primary Account Administrators (PAAs) regarding updates in the Background Check System (BCS) for inquiries submitted to BCCU between November 1 and December 6, 2024.
All account users have already been notified of these updates through the BCS notification system, and updated result letters are available for review within the system. For clarity, please keep the following in mind when accessing updated background checks:
Important Notes for Clarity:
- Not All Background Checks Will Be Updated: Most background checks submitted during the November 1st to December 6th timeframe did not require updates. If there was an updated result you should have received a system notification, and the updated result(s) is highlighted in red.
- Archived Background Checks: If a background check was archived, you should have received a system notification that an update occurred, regardless that it was an archived inquiry. Note: Archived background checks are automatically removed from archive if BCCU performs an action to update the status.
- Post-December 6th Submissions: Any background checks submitted to BCCU after December 6th includes up-to-date information from the Administrative Office of the Courts and were not impacted by this rerun.
Please note that some PAAs may not receive an email, which indicates that there were no updates to their respective account(s). Again, PAAs should expect to receive an email notification by no later than close of business tomorrow, February 6, 2025.
