With ongoing measles outbreaks in the United States, all healthcare professionals can be ready for measles cases, especially during the upcoming summer travel season, and particularly in unvaccinated patients. To help providers and clinics stay prepared, CDC’s Project Firstline is hosting a webinar on May 15, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. PST.
The webinar will feature a panel of CDC experts as they cover current trends in measles epidemiology, clinical recognition of measles, the importance of vaccination, and preparing and responding to measles, including infection prevention and control in the healthcare setting.

Be Ready for Measles Toolkit
On May 1, CDC released the new Be Ready for Measles toolkit to deliver preparedness and outbreak response tools and communication materials to make it easier for state and local health departments to communicate with the public, clinicians, and partners before and during a measles outbreak. The toolkit includes fact sheets, social media graphics, and videos for the public, and outbreak-related response tools for clinicians and other public health professionals.
