We’re Making Changes to Our Membership Subscriptions

As we approach the end of the fiscal year, we want to thank you for your membership. With your invaluable support, we’ve been able to halt HB 1859, implement several beneficial bills for AFHs, and start our collective bargaining negotiations from a strong position.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, we want to let you know that we’re making updates to our membership payments.

What’s Changing:

  • Starting July 1, 2024 we will be implementing a 4% charge to all memberships paid via card to cover processing fees. This means that memberships will change from $50 monthly to $52 monthly when paid by a card. Annual memberships will change from $600 yearly to $624 yearly.
    • NOTE: To avoid paying this fee, we have the option to have your dues withdrawn monthly or yearly via ACH directly from your bank account. With ACH, you’ll never need to worry about your card expiring or forgetting to call if your card is lost or stolen.
  • All yearly memberships will now automatically renew a year from their sign up date. Recurring payments are already in place with our members who pay monthly. You will receive a notice about the renewal beforehand and have the option to continue or cancel your membership.

Your Options:

  • Continue your current membership without any changes. Your membership will continue to renew at the new $52 fee starting July 1. Annual memberships will renew at $624 each year.
  • Change your membership payment to a yearly or monthly ACH. Payments made via ACH will draw directly from your bank account. These payments process on July 1st each year for yearly memberships and on the 10th of every month for monthly memberships. Use this form to convert to an ACH payment and mark whether your membership will be due yearly or monthly. The form can be faxed to Doris Elkins at 360-943-6653 or sent to doris@adultfamilyhomecouncil.org. You must include a voided check or letter from your bank listing your routing number and account number with this form.

If you would prefer to end your support of the Council’s advocacy, education, support, and marketing efforts for Washington’s adult family homes, please respond via email to doris@adultfamilyhomecouncil.org by July 1st, 2024.

As always, we thank you for your support of the Council and all that you do to support our vulnerable adults. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us!

Membership fees enable the Council to cover legal expenses and fund staff to advocate with the state and regulatory agencies. The participation of every adult family home is vital to ensuring fair regulations and rates that accurately reflect the costs of caring for our vulnerable adults. Consider becoming a member of the Council to help us continue improving conditions for all adult family homes in Washington State.
