This presentation aims to educate Adult Family Home (AFH) providers about resident rights and the role and mission of the LTCOP, which is to ensure the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals living in long-term care.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify Key Strategies for Enhancing Daily Life: Participants will learn various techniques to improve their residents’ daily lives with day-to-day routines that will help keep residents engaged and oriented to time and date. This will include visual prompts.

  2. Identify the difference between entertainment and engagement.

  3. Enhance Social Connections and Support Systems: We will provide participants with the tools to create a strong community of supplemental services that can help increase the success of the adult family homeowners and their residents.
