Candidate Forums at Regional Chapter Meetings

Have lunch with your 2024 election candidates during the Adult Family Home Council’s candidate forums! We will host a series of these forums through our regional chapter meetings from September 6 through October 25. These meetings will offer opportunities to voice your concerns, build rapport and learn more about the candidates’ plans if they are to be elected.

AFH providers will be able to:

1. Identify key issues and candidate positions relevant to adult family homes.

2. Engage directly with candidates to understand their plans and proposals.

3. Evaluate the potential impact of candidates’ policies on the adult family home community.

4. Advocate effectively for policies that support the needs of adult family homes.

This presentation will provide an overview of the Residential Care Services (RCS) Long Term Care Quality Improvement Program (LTC QIP). RCS provides this free quality improvement service to Adult Family Homes (AFH), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Nursing Homes (NH), and Supported Living (SL) providers to help them strengthen care and documentation systems, improve regulatory compliance, and prevent harm to vulnerable adults in their care related to the areas of medication management, infection prevention & control, and fall prevention.
