Maya brings energy, enthusiasm, and an insightful perspective to every project she’s assigned. With a background in multicultural communication, journalism, and public relations, she has performed in several roles that aid in a unique approach to complex problems, including Media/Messaging Lead, Dialogue Facilitator, and Website Designer.She jumped into the deep end by joining the AFHC on the week of the Fall Conference and has already connected with providers and affiliated business partners on best practices. She’s excited to apply her expertise in outreach to expand membership and increase engagement among current members and the public.

Number one for me, Please educate the public to who we are and what we do. That is going to bring in membership.

I do believe that lots of education needs to be done for the public in order for an AFH to be an option for anyone in need of 24hrs long term care.
