Adult Family Home Council

A New Chapter for Karen Cordero

With a mix of excitement and gratitude, I want to share that I have accepted the position of Executive Director with the Long-Term Care Foundation of Washington. While this means my role is changing, my commitment to the adult family home community remains just as strong.

For the past eight years, it has been an absolute honor to support you through my work at the AFH Council. I have cherished every moment—witnessing your dedication, compassion, and resilience firsthand. The work you do every day changes lives, and I am deeply grateful to have been a part of this journey with you.

Though I will no longer be with the Council, I look forward to continuing to support you in new ways through my work at the Foundation. This is not goodbye, but rather a new chapter in our shared mission to strengthen and uplift adult family homes.

Thank you for your trust, your passion, and the incredible care you provide. I hope to stay connected and continue working together to make a lasting impact.

All the best,

Karen
