disorders, and the impacts of trauma exposure on individuals.  Part Two of the training focuses on an introduction of practical skills and knowledge reinforcement introduced in the first portion of this training.

Behaviorism Training: A Provider’s Guide to Behavior Supports

Energize Info Session #1: Adult Family Homes and Family Home Child Cares

This information session will discuss the expansion of the King County Energize Program to serve Adult Family Homes and Family Home Child Cares in King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. Owners and operators of these facilities are encouraged to attend to learn how to apply for these no-cost upgrades to their homes.

Join us on the second and fourth Thursday of each month for Mornings With Member Support, an open conversation space led by Maleia Press, AFHC’s Regulatory Support Director, together with our Member Support team.  These informal Q&A sessions give Adult Family Home providers the opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity on regulatory requirements, and talk through real-world compliance scenarios with AFHC’s in-house experts.  While the focus is on regulatory compliance and understanding both state and federal rules, no topic is off limits—bring any question related to AFH operations, resident rights, documentation, surveys, or day-to-day challenges.  Whether you’re navigating a complex situation, seeking guidance on best practices, or simply wanting reassurance that you’re on the right track, this twice-monthly space offers supportive, practical answers in a welcoming environment.

Your Story, Your Brand: How to Share What Makes Your Home Unique

Join AFHC Marketing & Communications Manager Alexandria Brown and AFHC Education & Support Manager Stacie Thyrion for an interactive workshop designed to help Adult Family Home providers develop and communicate their brand with clarity and confidence.  In this practical, hands-on session, providers will learn how to develop a clear and authentic brand, understand why compassionate storytelling builds trust with families, and create a warm, genuine elevator pitch that reflects what makes their home unique—without feeling sales-driven.  The workshop includes guided time to begin drafting your own AFH story using simple prompts and real-world examples.  Participants will leave with useful tools they can implement right away during tours, conversations with families, and outreach to referral partners.
