Current Resources
Evacuations and Emergency Updates
Visit Spokane County Wildfire Resources for evacuation information, emergency contacts, and local updates. Providers can also register for official notifications through Alert Spokane.
Shelter and Immediate Assistance
The American Red Cross is providing shelter, meals, phone and medical-device charging, and other assistance. People may visit a shelter for services even if they do not need to stay overnight, and identification is not required.
Find an Open Red Cross Shelter or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Smoke and Air Quality
Monitor current conditions through the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency and find preparation and exposure-reduction guidance through Smoke Ready Spokane.
Local News and Community Resources
The Spokesman-Review 2026 Wildfire Season page provides continuing local coverage and community-resource information.
For evacuation orders and immediate safety instructions, continue to rely on local emergency officials.
Important Reminder for Adult Family Homes
DSHS requires adult family homes to report an evacuation to Residential Care Services. If your home evacuates, or you believe residents may need to move because of the fires, report the situation online or call 1-800-562-6078.
Report an Emergency Evacuation to RCS
Please take care of yourselves and those in your care. The Adult Family Home Council stands with Spokane’s adult family home community during this extraordinarily difficult time.
