• Family members review them to find a home for their loved ones...and they don't want to put them in a home that doesn't follow State regulations.

My career in the Adult Family Home Industry started in 2012 when I took the Administrator Training class so I could help a friend of mine run her home that she and her husband started from scratch in Wenatchee. I have since worked in many homes as a Consultant and became an Insurance Agent in 2019.

I am passionate about this industry as it is a much-needed resource for people who need the care that Adult Family Homes provide.

My specialty as a Consultant is performing Compliance Audits (“Mock Inspections”). I review all the DSHS required documentation for Staff and Residents to make sure everything is in place. I also review the Medication Administration in each home looking for medications that are out of stock or expired, and that the MAR is documented correctly. You’d be surprised how many homes are out of stock and have expired medications! Medication citations are very serious and can affect a home’s ability to attract new clients and will increase insurance rates.

As an Insurance Agent, think of me as your Guidepost through the maze of the Insurance world. The applications submitted to insurance companies can have a major impact on the rates they charge, and I help Providers fix any “red flags” that I see…and I see a lot of simple mistakes that are easily fixed, but without someone taking the time to review the answers on the applications, rates can skyrocket.
