Recently the Adult Family Home Council was made aware that a member home has filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). The complaint has been reviewed by the AGOs and determined appropriate for the division to take further action.
The complaint was against Gray Key Equity Properties LLC. The complaint alleges inappropriate dealings during a potential change of ownership. The complaint goes on to express concern that the other adult family homes may be impacted.
We encourage every adult family home to be cautious when entering into agreements for change of ownership. Not only do you want to make sure your business and investment in protected, but you want to be sure your residents’ care is not interrupted.
