This session gives an overview of the Washington State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and the important work we do advocating for residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and adult family homes. We’ll cover our role in protecting resident rights, how we handle complaints, and the ways we partner with DSHS Residential Care Services (RCS) to resolve issues, improve quality of care, and support both residents and providers. We’ll also talk through some real-world examples of how this collaboration helps everyone. We’ll highlight how adult family home providers can work effectively with the Ombudsman program to support quality care and positive outcomes for residents.
