Two weeks ago Karen Cordero joined the Adult Family Home Council Team. She is already assisting members with questions about rules, training, and more.

Hello!

I am excited to be your new Member Services and Education Specialist here at the Adult Family Home Council. This is a vital time for long-term care services in our state and I believe the care you provide to some of our most vulnerable citizens is essential. I look forward to supporting you in any way I can as you navigate the many responsibilities of running your adult family home(s).

For the last nine years I have been a Case Manager at the Area Agency on Aging. I am very familiar with care planning, HCA certification/training requirements and traversing Medicaid rules and regulations. I hope to use this experience along with feedback I receive from you to develop a robust series of educational opportunities for members, be a resource for connecting members to quality, local training companies and to assist members with solving complex issues that arise.
